// dear fifteen-year-old self //

dear past self of the age fifteen,

fifteen is when i'd say you're going to really start changing

but then again, i'd say that about a lot of years.

thirteen and sixteen are also big years of change.

and i know that i will add to that lists as i grow older.

{and apparently you will also start to ramble in the near future}

here's a small list, old self, that may help you as you grow.

- - -

i.
keep reading and don't ever stop;
especially when its God's words

ii.
when someone just makes you want to scream,
swallow and turn the other cheek.

iii.
don't judge other people.
for goodness' sake, what benefit do you even get from that?

iv.
people everywhere are hurting,
yes, even that arrogant person in front of you.

v.
go outside. feel the breeze, feel the grass,
feel alive.

vi.
the time spent with entertainment vs. time spent with the family,
isn't as precious as the latter.

vii.
boys are for the future, not the present,
but that doesn't mean they can't be your friend.

viii.
you can always learn something,
so listen and study hard.

ix.
live in the now as much as possible,

x.
makes goals for the future, but work towards them in present.

xi.
love is life

xii.
strive to be kind all the time.

xiii.
God is there and will listen. He will give you peace,
He will answer your prayers.

xiv.
ask questions.

xv.
go out of your way to talk to people, draw them out, become their friend

xvi.
earn to communicate.
it is a skill that you will benefit from your entire life.

xvii.
go outside your comfort zone.
do things that you don't want to, and experience new things.

xviii.
if you want something to happen,
do it yourself.

xix.
and most of all, love Jesus, love people, and love your life.
